Come and meet the Motor Club on Saturday 27th!
South Hams Motor Club invites you to Kingsbridge Town Square (TQ7 1HN) at the Quay on the afternoon of Saturday 27th February to meet members of the Motor Club and see some of our members' competition cars.
We are planning to have at least 4 of our members' cars on display; including an "Historic class" Porsche 911, a Group 4 Ford Escort MkII, a road rally car and an endurance specification rally car - as in the picture above.
James Wozencroft is bringing one of his "Rally Experience" Subaru Imprezas so you can get a real taste of rallying at all levels. That's James on the right here.
The motor club stand will have several volunteers keen to talk to you about the club and what we do - come along and get your questions answered!
Before the cars can start the night rally they have to be "scrutineered" by a Motor Sports Association official and noise checked to make sure they comply with legislation. Once that process is complete the cars will line up in the Town Square from 6 o'clock until start at 11.01pm.
Rally HQ is The Creeks End Inn , TQ7 1HN - this is where the crews have to register.
The motor club is more than 40 years old, so if you used to be a member why not come along and see if you recognise anyone - there are some old faces here....!
