Tyre Statement

As organisers, we have been watching the situation unfold and would first of all like to thank those working tirelessly behind the scenes over the last few months to resolve the situation.

Unfortunately, like the championship co-ordinators we have been unable to find a suitable replacement to Colway Road Plus tyres. Therefore, unsurprisingly with eight weeks to go before the event, so that competitors can order their tyres we have decided to follow suit with other similar club organised events in the Enduro 2008 Championship.

ALL competitors including those not registered for the championship, will be required to use Colway Road Plus tyres as per last year and/or tyres from the list 1A as published on page 196, in the Blue Book 2008 by the MSA.

While this is not a satisfactory position for competitors and organisers alike, we believe this is the best solution to the current problem until an alternative can be found.

We continue to work with other organisers, the championship co-ordinators and the MSA to resolve the situation to introduce a control tyre (which all parties are happy with) for 2009.

Amendment

Following a review by the MSA on 16 January the following tyre has been added as an additional permitted tyre:

Firestone F580c

This amendment will be in the Final Instructions and the Enduro 2008 Championship Regulations.
