We're on
The South Hams Motor Club has its roots firmly in club level motorsport. Over the last 40 years the club has established a great reputation for promoting motorsport in the southwest of England. Geographically, the club “footprint” lies along the A38 Expressway and between Torbay and Plymouth. We do of course have members from outside the area but mainly we live within the “South Hams”. The club meets at different pubs on a social basis and there is a monthly committee meeting where the forthcoming events are planned. There is always something going on whether it is a Scalextric Grand Prix or National Rally – you just have to join in – we are a friendly bunch!

Major events that the club has organised over the years include:

- Newton Abbot Audi Stages (forest rally)
- Harvest Rally (navigation)
- Nightmare Rally (navigation)
- Orchard Properties Gravel Sprint (forest stage – driver only)
- Aardvark Excavations Ltd Autocross.
- AudiSouthWest South West Endurance Rally (endurance rally)

Despite modern technology (internet website), our club magazine “The Chequered Flag” is still the backbone of the club – this is sent out monthly with details of what’s going on – socially and competitively.
The club frequently supports other motor clubs’ events by way of Marshalling – helping to make the day go smoothly for those taking part. It’s a great way to get close to the action!
