South Hams Motor Club have been running night road events since 1972 and we are constantly looking for the “ideal” format, listening to competitors and the changing conditions in the sport and area. We feel accuracy on both sides of the car will be required for a good result on our events. Our part of Devon is well known for being tight and twisty as previous entrants to our events will testify – this is about teamwork and great map-reading skills.
This rally usually runs to the north of our area on OS maps 191 and 192.

The club organises a number of "12 Car" navigation rallies. These are a great way of learning the skills of map reading and time keeping. "Old hands" can keep their skills up to scratch as well as helping those new to the sport.

We are pleased to announce the SHMC loyalty card scheme partnered with our friends Paul & Natalie Howard at JDM Garage UK.
With us running 3 night events now we have decided to give something back to you the competitors for your support. So here goes……….
At the Harvest rally signing on all competitors (yes Driver & Nav) will be issued with a loyalty card to keep. Then collect your next stamp at Guy Fawkes signing on and finally at The Primrose….. upon receiving your 3rd stamp you will get a £10 discount for your Primrose entry Fee.
All completed cards will then be put in a draw to win one of 3 FREE entries to one of the SHMC Night events in the 25/26 season (draw will take place at the Primrose drivers briefing). So what do you need to do ????? Nothing!!!! apart from turn up and enjoy all 3 night events and DON'T LOSE YOUR CARD !!!
Thanks again to Paul & Natalie Howard for helping us make this possible.
As part of our commitment to:
• The protection of the environment
• Reducing the detrimental impact of events on the environment
• Improving the sustainability of motorsport in the UK
We donate a small environmental levy from our events to offset the CO2 produced by all competing vehicles, and that of the South Hams Motor Club organisers on the event. We invest this in a local tree planting scheme managed by local charity MOOR TREES to permanently offset the carbon produced and to achieve net-zero carbon for our events.
