22 / 23 November 2025 - CANCELLED
Welcome to the Guy Fawkes Rally, a Navigational Rally running on 22nd / 23rd November 2025. We are offering approximately 140 miles of challenging rallying on OS maps 202 / 191 / 192 including the runs out and back.
South Hams Motor Club have been running night road events since 1972 and we are constantly looking for the “ideal” format, listening to competitors and the changing conditions in the sport and area. We feel accuracy on both sides of the car will be required for a good result on our events. Our part of Devon is well known for being tight and twisty as previous entrants to our events will testify – this is about teamwork and great map-reading skills.
In recent years we have got more of an eye to the future of the sport, trying to encourage more newcomers to step up from 12 car to larger Clubman/Interclub events, and thus the events are being designed to be much kinder to cars, but not necessarily on the crews.
Starting and finishing at The Haldon Forest Diner at the top of Haldon Hill, South Devon it is well located just off the A38 for those travelling from afar.
We look forward to receiving your entry which is just £98 and includes two breakfasts! If you have any questions please ask away, our details are further on in the SRs.
Kevin and the Organising Team.
Marshals Welcomed!
As always we need a lot of helpers to make sure the rally runs smoothly - no experience necessary - if you can offer any help on the night (or before) please get in touch.
Marshals / Officials can Sign-on HERE
- Entry opens at 20.00 hrs, 15th October
Note about Entries (Article 6/SRs.): ...will be selected in a “first come, first served” basis for the first 40 entries. If after 5 full days after entries open, the maximum number has been reached then the remaining 20 entries will be selected at the “organiser’s discretion”. If it has not been reached at this point, entries will be selected in a “first come first served basis”.
The maximum number for the event is 60, should more entries be received this figure, a reserve list of 10 will be created and will be contacted if an entry becomes available.
Entries will close at Midnight, 12th November.
"On the night / Top up" INSURANCE
"Top up" insurance is expensive so if you are planning on doing a few of these events you could consider extending your own insurance to cover motorsport using a specialist provider. There are a number of providers who our "regular" entrants use including:
Kingfisher Motorsport (formerly REIS)

UPDATE: 31st October, 2025
It’s with great regret we have decided to cancel the Guy Fawkes rally for 2025.
We greatly underestimated the amount of our regulars that are attending the Roger Albert Clark along with a number of other factors impacting the entries currently. With only 12 and 4 paid there isn’t enough to expect our team to give more time and costs, and marshals simply won’t come out all night for a sub-standard event.
So what next??
The Primrose will return on February 7/8th 2026 but with a new look. To try and help with people’s budgets we are trying something different and keeping costs down for this one. 100 miles, No breakfast and a sensible finish time for those travelling. Start/Finish will be a stone’s throw from 24hr facilities. Early entry incentives for crews will be on offer keeping the fee down to £50 which will hopefully help us plan with confidence and run with a number worthy of the hard work the team put in.
SAVE THE DATES!
The Harvest - 3/4 October 2026
The Guy Fawkes - 21/22 November 26
We remain committed to Road Rallying in the South West in these extremely trying times and hopefully 2026 will see a better year for events in our part of the world.

CO2 and Climate change
As part of our commitment to:
• The protection of the environment
• Reducing the detrimental impact of events on the environment
• Improving the sustainability of motorsport in the UK
We donate a small environmental levy from our events to offset the CO2 produced by all competing vehicles, and that of the South Hams Motor Club organisers on the event. We invest this in a local tree planting scheme managed by local charity MOOR TREES to permanently offset the carbon produced and to achieve net-zero carbon for our events.
